Back in the days (December last year), I used eDonkey, and I thought eMule was "just another eDonkey". I was pretty sceptical, but then I finally tried it, and there's no way I'm going back to Edonkey... not much happens with eDonkey, while eMule changes all the time...

Well, eMule actually works, which is more than I can say for eDonkey.

        I have a 56Kb modem.

Should I change to eMule from eDonkey / Overnet (both of which I use) ?

Or will it introduce no significant improvements?

eMule have a credit system, which means the more you upload, the higher is the chance to download...

I guess this is not good for those people on a 56kb modem...

The native eDonkey 2000 client should be boycotted with it's annoying ads and pop-ups. Use eMule. No doubt that's the best way to go if you want to use the eD2K P2P network. I'm already too pissed by the credit system of KaZaA Lite and no Gnutella clients seem to work good enough with my connection. I'm now switching between Win MX and eMule for my P2P needs. However the FileFront P2P client is still the one I use most.

i used edonkey but i was only getting 5kb a second. So i deleted it and installed shareaza, now im getting 500kb a second, plus it looks better than edonkey.

eMule is so bloody slow. I can't seem to get higher than 3k/s when it should go up to 57k/s, for whatever reason.

I love that site, very useful. I feared wrath from Ming for posting it, though.

I'm sure it's dead useful, but it doesn't seem to load.

It takes quite a long time to load. But it does (for me anyway).
