    It would be funny if they would do same amateur research, just after finishing that intergalactical war. But wait they have no time for such pure research, a next war would be soon.

    BTW If you aren't transmiting signal, then you are very unlikely able to recive signal. I think vow could be nice example of "long time" signal.

    Seti at home has wrong methodology. I could thing they could be unsuccessful for next 300 years.

      Huh? I took a look at the Apolyton team table, and it seems my rate of 5 hrs of computing time per work unit is the best...

        2.2 GHz comp? I would like to have at least 4 processor MB and 3.2 each processor.
        450 MHz overclocked celeron could do unit at 23 hours.

          Nope. 1GHz, and I actually do other stuff at the same time. (Well, not playing games or anything, but compiling stuff from time to time. )

            Ooh, somebody got 44 minutes per set. Then again, they have only done one set... But still, that must be a darn good comp.

              Oh no...Then this means Vovansim will eventually overtake me! Can you do it?

                Nope. I don't like leaving my computer running for long amounts of time. Maybe the fact that it's a laptop has something to do with it.

                  I would put it like a comparison between PCs and Macs. We never get an answer which one is better.

                      Actually now I process packages 24/7 with Sturmovik, so I'm now processing data with 2 PCs. BTW, I did join now the Apolyton group. Hmmm... what's this "Apolytoners for SETI" group that has zero members.

                              BTW, I have already passed Solver in the ranking list of our team. However this isn't about competition after all. Abit off-topic, but as the Planetary Society is related to SETI@Home, I have to recommend their website for some good reading.
