It doesn't actually look that much bigger than a giant squid, to be honest.

Well, it is - it's mantle supposedly grows to 4m long, which is almost twice as long as the 'giant' squid.
Plus it has lots of nifty upgrades, like a larger beak, and swinging hooks on its tentacles!

This combination allows it to attack fish as large as the Patagonian toothfish and probably to also attempt to maul sperm whales.

Anything that can maul a Sperm Whale has go to be one big, bad son of a *****.

Giant squid is no longer the largest squid that's out there. We've got something that's even larger, and not just larger but an order of magnitude meaner.

The scientist who examined it thinks it is not fully grown and is only half to two-thirds full size!!!

No doubt there will soon be a rash of Jaws rip-off type films based on this beastie.

Has anyone seen a London Bus swimming the ocean deep?

Only I'm trying to image the squids' size using that chart they've given and I just can't.

If you hang around out there for long enough 3 are bound to arrive at once. It's one of the fundamental laws of the universe.

in the graphic you'll notice that the london bus is in the white (land) area, while the fishes are in the blue area...

According to the sunday sport a bus was found on the moon
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

I think it's amusing that to get the 'Colossal Squid' image for that picture they just vertically flipped the Giant Squid and stretched it a little bit.
It's saves time, of course, but it just struck me as funny ...
