      He was the most decorated during WW II, Funny thing though, getting his purple heart kept him out of West Point.

        Murphy is the most decorated American Service-person.
        I'm just guessing that somewhere along the line he picked up a few wounds.

              As I see it there have been 19 ppl who have received the CMOH twice. It doesn't look like we have anyone who has three-peated.

                  Nice to see TC's name there. Everyone should read "Cavalier in Buckskin" by Robert Utley - an excellent account of his brother's life. But I digress....
