SAFWAN, Iraq (Reuters) - Scores of Iraqis chanted slogans praising President Saddam Hussein as soon as reporters got off buses accompanying a convoy of Kuwaiti aid trucks to the southern town of Safwan on Wednesday.
"We sacrifice our souls, our blood for you...Saddam," the residents sang. "Saddam will not fall, Baghdad will not fall," said one Iraqi, giving his name only as Haidar.

I had heard on the radio last night details about the port where their equipment was offloaded. I think it is somewhere different from Kuwait. Does anyone have any news on this?
CNN reported last week that they would not be fully operational in the field until 4/15. Can't find a link...just from memory.

Didn't they also say that they would begin bringing in the 1st Armored division from Germany?

                      • They mentioned that the first objective would be to fly in their equipment to reinforce the 173rd position, and that it was likely that this airport would be used to bring in more forces later. I don't remember them naming a specific unit, but that doesn't mean much.

Iraq's information minister shows what he says are the remains of a coalition missile
A bombing raid in Baghdad may have resulted in civilian casualties, coalition Central Command has acknowledged.

A statement issued by the Qatar-based HQ said the Iraqi missiles were hidden in a residential area less than 100 metres (300 feet) from homes.

Iraqi officials say at least 14 people were killed and 30 injured in explosions in the busy Shaab district of northern Baghdad during an air raid.
But the situation is still confused - with a later Pentagon briefing saying it is still not clear what caused the blasts in Shaab.
