"Iraqi commanders dispatched Fedayeen counterinsurgency fighters from Baghdad to Nasiriya over the past two weeks, military sources told ABCNEWS. The fighters were meant to bolster regular army soldiers, whose loyalty to Saddam Hussein is considered questionable, the sources said.

The Fedayeen fighters were to be used in urban combat and to threaten potential defectors with death if they didn't fight, the sources said.

One of Saddam's cousins is known to command the Nasiriya area, and is believed to be surrounded by handpicked loyalist troops."

This is the only arabic-english translator I know, it's pretty good but sometimes alot of text doesn't get translated. Currently 90% of the frontpage and the main story are translated, but when I used it yesterday only a few phrases were translated

Well I post that information last night, but is now confirmed by Al-Jazeera. Anyway there are not saying which kind of aircraft was shooted down. If anyone have more information about this please post it.

TVN correspondant: A unknow number of British soldiers surreded to iraqi forces in South Iraq. In fights for Umm Qassar the official number of deaths is 6 (3 Iraqis, 3 Americans), and 10 American soldiers are missing (Confirmation by The Pentagon).

BAGHDAD, March 23 (Reuters) - Iraqi television showed film on Sunday of at least four bodies, said to be U.S. soldiers, and five prisoners who said they were American.

Two of the prisoners, including a woman, appeared to be wounded. One was lying on the floor on a rug.

They were the first U.S. prisoners known to have been taken by Iraq. The prisoners were questioned on air and gave their names, military identification numbers and home towns.

The bodies and prisoners were shown on Iraqi television, relayed by Al-Jazeera.

CHV FLASHNEWS: An aircraft has been shooted down by iraqi anti-air artillery. At this point CHV can report that the aircraft was not American but British. Iraqi officials are now saying that both British pilots have been captured.
