    1. American peace activist crushed by IDF bulldozer.

An American woman peace protester was killed Sunday by an IDF bulldozer, which ran her over during the demolition of a house at the Rafah refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip.

Another activist was wounded in the incident.

Rachel Corey, 23, from Olympia, Washington, was killed when she ran in front of the bulldozer to try to prevent it from destroying a house, doctors in Gaza said.

"Corey was killed in the al-Salam neighbourhood when an Israeli bulldozer covered her with sand as she stood in front of a bulldozer," said Dr Ali Musa, a doctor from the al-Najar hospital in the southern Gaza Strip.

He said she died from skull and chest fractures.

The IDF said it was checking the report.

Greg Schnabel, 28, from Chicago, said the protesters were in the house of Dr. Samir Masri.

"Rachel was alone in front of the house as we were trying to get them to stop," he said. "She waved for bulldozer to stop and waved. She fell down and the bulldozer kept going. We yelled 'stop, stop,' and the bulldozer didn't stop at all. It had completely run over her and then it reversed and ran back over her."

Since the start of the Intifada, groups of international protesters have gathered in several locations in territories, setting themselves up as "human shields" to try to stop IDF operations.

Corey was the first member of the groups, called "International Solidarity Movement," to be killed in the conflict. Schnabel said Corey was a student at Evergreen College and was to graduate this year.

He said there were eight protesters at the site, four from the United States and four from Great Britain. "We stay with families whose house is to be demolished," he told the Associated Press by telephone from Rafah after the incident.
Two more Palestinians were killed by the IDF the same day, one Palestinian man in Rafah and an adolescent in Khan Yunis.

    2. Anarchist murdered by fascists in Milan, with police backup

Militants assaulted in Milan by fascists, 1 killed

Tonight in via Brioschi, near the Navigli area (Milan) a small group of fascists deliberate attacked three militants with knives. One of the three, hit at the throat and chest, fell down on the ground and died in a few minutes. Afterwards some people spontaneously gathered at the S. Paolo Hospital for a demonstration.
The police and carabinieri (the military police) reacted charging violently the demostrators and arresting some of them.
Less than a hour after the murdering, the disinformation machine was up and running: the ANSA (the most important italian news agency) said "a riot between young dissidents groups had taken place in Milan". The evident aim of the newsblast was to turn the fascist aggression and the violent police repression at the office into the 'typical bad evening caused by noglobal violence'.

We are here to repeat that instead of 'riot' we can clearly talk about 'deliberate aggression', an assault which costed the life of a young man.
And we confirm that the police and carabinieri protected the fascists and covered up the facts, charging with tonfas and baseball bats (as reported by direct witnesses) the people demonstrating their solidarity outside the hospital.
    3. Bush, Blair and co. are planning to unleash a war with an estimated 500.000 casualties.

(you don't need an article on that, find your own)

So you think that Bush, Blair, Saddam and the two nazis that killed the poor guy here in Milan are all alike on a moral ground?

Saddam didn't murder anyone the last few days and isn't planning to do so in the next couple of days either.

But I guess, if there was a club for the people that caused the most deaths in the world, then yes he would be in, along with every single US president since FDR (and some others before that), not to mention european leaders.

This is not the thread's point however, as the Iraq war came as an afterthought, when I thought that such stings pale in comparison with a war.

A lot of bad deeds actually will occur in the shadow of this war and the perpetrators will get away with them due to the lack of covarage. The biggest of those crimes is the palestinian genocide, which is gaining momentum albeit the lack of suicide attacks. The Russians are probably having their way in Chechnya as we speak. There was a bloody uprising in Bolivia, with tens of deaths and also the civil war in Colombia is escalating. Ferocious class struggle is also taking place in the Argentinian cities, with a few dead there too. Warfare is probably expanding in the Philippines too, since the intervention of the USA. We don't hear much about these topics in the news, do we?

BTW As the news come out in these minutes, it seems more and more that the news reported by axi about the murder in Milan are, in their essence, true.

How can you know? Even human rights orgs which are against the war have no doubts about his rule. The problem is that we don´t see his victims in tv that often....

Bulldozers don't have the handling capabilities of a Mercedes or something. Besides that, you mislead with your statement. She was killed by debris.

Re: Re: Murderers of the World, Unite!

Obviously the police did not back up the murderers...but it seems they end up beating up the friends of the victim, that were rioting in the hospital. It is not clear what exacltly happened...but after Genova (G8) and Napoli one is justified in suspecting the worst.

So before commenting with some very sad news....please think twice.

Get a grip, of some type. 500,000 casualties is absurd.
