    He's better than Kordell.

And he's been on the 2nd worst organization in the NFL (of course Cincy is #1).

I'd take Jake if I was Denver. They can turn him around. He's got a decent arm, good accuracy, and nice mobility. Now with some talent around him we'll see if he has the intelligence.

bah jake isnt that good for denver. shanahan is in trouble his team is peaking and his qb spot is ass. so he needs someone to step in fast. so he threw the dice and picked jake.

he also has a sizable ego so he does think he can do it. jake forces a lot of throws. kind of like brett favre if he had half of his current talent.

In his last season at Arizona, he was so stupid that he couldn't make the defensive reads. finally, the coaches told him to only pay attention to the defense on the side of the field he was throwing to.

Going to Denver won't make him smarter

You never know, Elway never won a Super Bowl until Shanahan got there.

My time is up I'm off on a weeks vacation, don't ban me Ming.

It was a good idea you had, but it just wouldn't feel right to pull it off.

Kordell is the right fit because hes durable and the Bears are only paying him ~2.5 mill a year which means that after one year the Bears can cut him and only have ~860,000 in dead cap space from it.

I hope, hope, hope that Houston doesn't take Suggs. I don't know why but I feel that Suggs could be the impact player the Bears need.

Someone was talking about how bad the Bears were and blaming it on just the players...
Well, when 13 players are on IR by the end of the year...

So, who's your choice if you're Angelo -
Jimmy Kennedy, the big bad DT from Penn State (who Angelo has hinted at)
Palmer, the one year wunderkind who is likely to be gone
Leftwich, he who plays with a broken leg through most of his last season at Marshall
Suggs, the edge rusher teams are drooling over
Newman, the top corner in the draft
I never know their names, But i smile just the same
                  New faces...Strange places,
Most everything i see, Becomes a blur to me

Given how most superbowls are won by defense, I go with Suggs.

If I'm Angelo, I take Leftwich, without a doubt, and don't look back.

Man, I wouldn't play Kordell at quarterback. You need someone steady. Slash is inconsistent. And that's why you want him as a chaos maker where he would keep the defense guessing.

But I guess it's too late I mean I don't see him wanting to play another position(s) at this point in his career.

I wouldn't take suggs. if I had suggs "spot" I would trade it away. given the bucs just won a superbowl. defensive end speed is at an enormous premium. and to take the top prosptect u'd need to sign him for a qb like salary.

now maybe he IS worth it, I mean its all a gamble neway. but in the idea of playing the odds. he is going to have very inflated value given wuts happened recently(julius peppers, jason taylor, dwight freeney, tampa bay bucs).

ned, ask the cowboys about how much not penny pinching does.

                              cowboys w/o cap=superbowl, w/ cap=nowhere.

                              u have to spend wise.

now take a team on the other end of the spectrum, the eagles. nearly thepenny pinchers of the entire league. best record last 3 years. its that over vaunted effort to ge that "last piece" that can screw u over.

actually I do think Jake is a good fit for the Denver team.

He needs that offensive line that cheats and gets way with holding to protect him. And then his arm strength will prevail. I worry about his accuracy though.
