come on. The way the Chicago O-line is- they need a mobile QB

They are better than all 3 QB's they played last year.

At least you aren't a Cardinals fan like me. Besides the Bengals, they have to be the worst run organization in the history of football.

IMHO, the Bears need to use their No. 1 pick on a quarterback. If it looks like the top picks take the premium quarterbacks available, they should trade up. Any such trade should include Stewart and either Miller or Chandler.

I never heard of Leftwich. But, if he is any good, let's draft him. I would still prefer quarterback like Chad Pennington.

I don't know. Probably be a lot more exciting watching Emmitt than Jake The Fake.

                    Actually considering the alternatives,
                    The SNAKE
                    The BLAKE
                    The backup snot from NO.

I'm thrilled we got him. (see twins don't always agree)

Now we can take a quarterback in the second or third round and let him learn for two years, and use the first pick to get a PASS RUSHER>

I'm happy the contract is only for two years, so if it's a bad experiment, it will be a short one.

AND YES< a Bear's quarterback must be mobile.

So what if he's a chucker instead of passer, all the other options sucked. We didn't need another MCNOWN with the first pick, and now we won't for sure.

Life sucks and then you die.
Unless you're... Kor-dell ! Then you go to Chicago.

Everything is relative. The alternatives must me considered. It could have been worse. We could have gotten Jake the Snake.

When's the last time the Bears can say their QB played in a probowl?

                        RAH
And yes, while relative, it shows just how desperate the Bears are.

I'd take Jake over Kordell, rah. Though maybe not in Chicago .

I predict though that in Denver, Jake will have a pretty good career, and after 2 years the Broncoes will choose to activate the second part of his contract.

No, I agree with all you said.
I said before that Bear D and RBs always good, no QB.

                            Go Bears!

Apples to oranges. Jake would have been killed in less than five games in CHICAGO. Look what happened to all of our previous, older (more fragile) unmobile QBs. It wasn't pretty. There's only three ways for a Bears QB to stay uninjured in CHITOWN.
                              1. GET RID OF BALL REAL QUICK. (handing off or dumping off) The first time Jake looked down the field, bam.
                              2. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.
                              3. Stay on the bench.

Kordell was a much better fit. And when you add his running touchdowns to his passing touchdowns and divide by interceptions, Kordells ration was considerably better.

This is going to be another terrible year. Jauron will get fired, hopefully, and we can get a decent coaching staff.

Kordell is irrelevant at this point. Shoop is calling his plays. So instead of Jim Miller throwing a 4 yard pass on 3rd and 7, it's Kordell. Kordell might get a yard farther before he falls down, that's about it.
To us, it is the BEAST.
