Give it 5 years or so, and we'll be starting to get in mood for remiscining about how great the 90s were. One of the things I believe I'll fondly remember were the kick-ass cartoons.
I mean, think of it! Simpsons started (I think) in 1989, but considering it really started to get good on second or third season, Simpsons is the quintessential cartoon (maybe even quintessential TV show) of the nineties. Other important cartoon show considering all that followed was Ren & Stimpy which also started in early nineties. And from there followed Beavis & Butthead, Daria, South Park, King of the Hill, Futurama, Family Guy, and probably a few more that I've forgotten or weren't shown in Finland.
Also, it looks like the great cartoons mostly died with nineties. B&B and Ren & Stimpy were cancelled around the middle of the decade, Daria and Family Guy didn't survive long into the 2000s, Simpsons has rapidly gone downhill and South Park's gotten kinda stale as well. And I may well be wrong, considering that I'm less available to latest TV programming here, but I haven't seen anything good to come replace.
Ahh, nineties cartoons.
