A friend from university did a thing you should not try at home: He was drunk and wanted to show off , so he tried to balance on the top of the fence at a bridge. Of course he fell into the river. There was a thin ice layer and he fell right through it and drifted away with the current under the ice . He was an extremely fit guy, playing the national team in his sport. His friends ran to the other side of the bridge, and saw his fist break the ice from underneith, then his head came up, cursing heavily. They threw him a life line and dragged him up.

    Have anyone seen "Omen"?

        272 is ****ing fast.

The fastest I've ever gone (was a passenger) was 185 or so (IIRC) on the Decarie expressway. We were passing other cars like they were standing still.

272?! The fastest I have ever driven is 185km/h (115mph), did that in my new car two weekends ago as I was used to driving a much smaller, noisier, less powerful car. It felt like 85 felt in my old car...when I noticed the speed I was doing, I quickly slowed down

I know that feeling. Sometimes it costs a lot of $$$

I'm curious, what made you stop?

My scariest experience ever driving was going down a tiny two lane road in a huge van at ridiculous speeds. The speed of it wasn't much past 100 miles per hour, but it was dak out, very few street lights, and it was a road that went up and down - you couldn't really see what was coming up ahead.

I was literally yelling at the guy to slow down. *******.

Aaaw, I wish I had a cool car. The highest I've ever gone at was 160 km/h.

160 isn't a bad speed...my usual motorway cruising speed is 145 (90)...although the speed limit on a UK motorway is about 110 (70)...no one does the speed limit...

Too bad this thread left the original subject to focus on fast cars - motorheads!

(Am I the only one here who deliberately burned a car... OK a wreck, but anyway?)

                        Ok, here's mine:

*I pulled my cars handbrake up at high speed during afternoon rush hour at motorway*

Very near death experience, the car started spinning and it was not a pleasent to have your headlights pointed to a nearing busses doing 100 kmph

I was next day in the front page of Finlands biggest newspaper.....
