"Amen to that. What an astoundingly boring band. Their music sounds like an air purifier."

I would like to refer you to Aphex Twin's ambient work, discs 1&2

The Purdue Union had a showing of Dark Side with The Wizard of Oz - way cool stuff the first time through (second and third time onthe other hand...)

        "Black, black, black, black..."

Great stuff. The Wall, WYWH, DSotM are all really good when you're just chillin', reading a book or trying to sleep.
I never know their names, But i smile just the same

Yes, I know a girl who keeps forcing this combination on me. Brilliant once, but only once.

                Just trying to be fair.

Btw, the new Roger Waters DVD, "In the Flesh" is GREAT! I never tire of watching it...
Waters is a flat-out genius. I just don't understand the people who don't like him.

Piper at the Gates of Dawn was the only one I somewhat enjoyed.

They're just young'ens with no taste in music.
Who is this aphex twin ambient? Tell me about them. What is their music like?

Recently got "Come Hell or High Water" by Deep Purple, Richie Blackmore's last live DVD/concert with the band, another worthwhile investment for classic rock enthusiasts.

Aphex Twin does ambient techno, which falls somewhere between good muzak and bad video game music, or bad muzak and good video game music. Hard to tell. Trust me, you aren't missing anything.

I haven't heard the early albums, but my favorite is WYWH. DSOTM is almost as good.

The Wall. It helps that it has a ton of songs on it

berzeker - it's very 'experimental' music. Imagine Phillip Glass, only without the excitement.
