I blame both sides of the conflict. There are no good guys.

Pity the innocent have to pay the price.

We are all supposed to blame Iraq for an American War of Aggression, no?

The actions of the PLO are 100 times more justified than those of Bush.

        Killing is never justified.

That rationale is a load o' crap.

        Sorry, Comrade.

Mwhaha, changing the topic for little US bashing to avoid arguing...

You know, there is this concept called "differentiated view" without simplified black and white statements - you could at least try it

No, this is all connected, but, for you, I´ll spell it out once more:

1- Israel´s occupation of somebody else´s territory is the cause of Palestinian terror.

2- Israel wants to get rid of the Palestinians altogether, by 'transfer' = ethnic cleansing.

3- Expelling all the Palestinians is only possible among the chaos of a major war.

4- An American war against Iraq, or perhaps against the entire Middle East, is exactly what Israel needs and wants.

Now this is not so hard to understand, or is it?

Depends how skewed your view is against Israel, then doesn't it?

There are two sides to every coin.

Sure, it´s all a matter of subjective opinion.

As posted by MtG after Albert Speers showed the same lack of taste...

Not in this thread, Speer. If you want to post on ME politics, do it in one of those threads, but political comments of any type won't be tolerated here.

If you don't like it, I can give you (or anyone else who wants to politicize this thread) a week or two off to think about it.
And I agree with MtG 100%

Very much so. I think this was the point he was trying to make. Siro's post was beautiful, and made me realise that there is another side (I tend to be far more pro-Palestine) but all this flaming, editing and banning of people because they want to point out the flip-side of this. I would never condone the terrorists, as I'm sure CT wouldn't either, but we should look at the underlying reasons aswell.

About keeping politics out of this thread. If you're going to talk about the issue, the bombing of a bus by Palestinian terrorists, it is inherrantly political IMHO.

I think what happened was awful. A terrible act, that not only killed many people, but that put back the peace process. I think, while condemning terrorist acts such as this, we should also look at the cause. I feel exactly the same about the IRA. Yes they commit horrific atrocities, and they are not justified IMHO, but they do have a reason for doing it. I think the world should look at the underlying reasons for an act, before unilaterally condemning it. I'll stop before I go too off topic, I'll leave that to politics threads. Just my opinions, i felt there needed to be some voice in support of CT, even if I disagree with what he said.
