Torture is unlikely since the CIA is heading the investigation. If the CIA uses similiar techniques as the Army then Interrogation involves psychological manipulation. It tends to be very effective and you don't cause physical harm to the captive.

I'll bet anyone $100 that he's either in Jordan, Egypt or Morocco and that he's not coming to the United States anytime soon. He'll be stewing for a while overseas just like Abu Zubidah is right now.
I can't see him ending up in Gitmo. He'll probably be tried, imprisoned and end up roomates of Ramsi Yousef...If you look around and think everyone else is an *******, you're the *******.

Spiffor - Ramsi Youssef is one of the lead conspirators in the original, botched WTC bombing in 1993?, when they used a truck bomb in the basement parking structure. He's doing a life sentence at the Federal "Supermax" maximum security prison in Colorado.
Timexwatch - if Mohammad ever went to trial, there's no way he'd escape execution - there are several different jurisdictions in which he can be tried, including the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Virginia, where a death sentence would be guaranteed.
Oerdin - CIA's techniques are a little more "intense" than the Army's, but not torture, unless someone has a real weenie definition. They add a more intense level of psychological disorientation to the manipulation, to make it more effective for getting highly complex information over the long term. Torture is very ineffective for the types and amounts of information that could be obtained from Mohammad, as I'm sure you know, but some of our "squishier" posters don't.
I'm just amazed that one of the guys caught with him didn't blow his brains out to keep him from being taken alive - what's wrong with these guys? Damned amateurs. When all else fails, blame brown people. | Hire a teen, while they still know it all. | Trump-Palin 2016. "You're fired." "I quit."

I wonder if the guy will be able to resist the interrogation. I suppose he has somehow trained during his Al-Qaeda days. However, seeing he didn't commit suicide when arrested, I'm also doubting his professionalism."I have been reading up on the universe and have come to the conclusion that the universe is a good thing." -- Dissident

excellent. He probably wont be able to give specific possible locations for OBL, he can probably give at least a vague descripton of OBL's area of movement in the past, which would be helpful to those hunting him. It would be pleasant indeed if OBL was caught shortly after this, however, realisticly it will be sometime yet...
