  • How much are the Feds gonna have to pay

This is one big **** up, it could have killed the poor man.

BBC, News, BBC News, news online, world, uk, international, foreign, british, online, service
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

It's definitely quite a screw-up, although I can see why they made it (same name and passport number, etc.)

It's also a shame that the media doesn't give as much coverage to the FBI's successes.
"Paul Hanson, you should give Gibraltar back to the Spanish" - Paiktis, dramatically over-estimating my influence in diplomatic circles.

Fair enough to arrest him, but holding him for 3 weeks is ridiculous

If he's a wanted man, I don't see anything wrong with holding an innocent for a short time just to make sure they get the right man.

It wouldn't get this kind of press here if he wasn't British.

BBC gave so much coverage because it is so blatantly anti-American.

Bods I know you are just trolling, but the poor bloke is 72 and was kept in a tiny dirty cell for 3 weeks for something he could not have possibly done.

I'm not sure it could be described as anti-american.

Thanks. Nothing like a good laugh to start out the day.

These days you can't say anything that is even mildly critical of anything that has the slightest relation to the US without being accused of being anti-American by some people. It kind of ruins most discussions.

You can't blame America for South Africa's cells.

It doesn't matter how old he is - justice needs to be done, and the suspected fraud is of that age anyway.

It's judges and people like you that are letting criminals worldwide get away and cause havoc.

So Bod's you are all for people being held without being charged?

Next time you are in a drunk tank I will recommend that they keep you in there for 3 weeks on suspicion of being a troll.

Same for just calling people a troll, or resorting with smiley to an otherwise sensible post (beofre you start referring to my treatment of UR, who is a fool).
