What I don't get is how invading Iraq will solve the Palestinian-Israeli problem.

That seems like a real non-sequitur to me, and not just overly optimistic like the rest of the reasoning...

After we knock off Hussein and show the little brown men the benefits of western style democracy, they'll be too busy taking their kids to soccer practice in their new SUV's and watching Survivor reruns and thanking their liberators to worry about something like obliterating Israel.
