Could you refresh us on the number of total players we will be drafting and what our "active" rosters will consist of, especially when it comes to pitchers.

And also explain what happens if you miss your turn...
And how to submit players in advance in case you aren't going to be around.

It would be good to have that information in this thread.

    Thank you

20 total players per team (I moved it down from 21 because we are having 12 players, and some waiver action would be cool) .

      So, 20 rounds.

      The active lineup is:

C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF (any outfield position), U (utility)

SP, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, P (utility Pitcher)

      Which means 4 backups.

You can submit a list of players to isid80@yahoo.com

If you miss a turn without submitting a list, then you get which ever available player is ranked the highest on the Yahoo rankings.

What if you are coming up but aren't going to be around for a day... can't you just post I'll take player A, player B or Player C depending on which one is left when it comes to my turn?

Figures, the newbie is last. Where's a decent site for finding player rosters and last year's stats? Btw, this ought to be fun.

This site has links to just about anything you might need.

You can also review the rankings of players based on last year stats at Yahoo.

mlb.com has rankings also; go here:

and click on "Fantasy Preview 2003: Analysis on 600 players."

And I'm new too, just so you know not all the newbies are poorly ranked.

Sure, that's fine as well. Which ever you feel is best (I offered my email because perhaps some people don't want the person picking ahead of them to know who they would pick).

I have two first pick that are equal of value for me, so I think it doesnt matter if I announce it. If Jdd2007 gets one, It will save me sometime about deciding

Ya know, we're gonna have to seriously shorten the time frame in the later rounds, or we're going to still be picking in August.

                          Just a thought.

Well, if people are around we can get a round off in a short time.

Maybe 12 hours per pick after round 10?

Now, does anyone know where jdd went?
