Oh wow, perfect timing!
So I've got this long-term relationship with one person and a strong attraction to another person. For the sake of the long-term relationship, I've decided to "get over" the person I'm attracted to (don't argue with me on this point, I've already done that with enough other people). Problem is I'm the bestfriend of the person I'm attracted to, and simply avoiding her would not work. So the question is, how do I make myself lose interest while maintaining the friendship already in place?
And yah, in your case Emperor, I've found that total separation works rather well.

I'm taking a guess here, since you didn't describe her as an unselfconscious, scholarly swimsuit-model.)
), I'd say your mistake was taking her back. That was when you should've realized that she doesn't know who/what she wants. But don't say it that way, just say, "Sorry." No more explanation than that.
