It's amazing. The French Defense Minister actually backed up the outburst by Chirac while in Poland. France must be in some la la land where the US is to be countered with French power. Granted some are net beneficieries others net contributors.

Oh sorry, I meant German-French Domination. The thing that you are missing is that nations don't want to give up their sovereignty easily. They don't want to give it up to US and they don't want to give it up to France or Germany.
They may still do it if they think the benefits appear greater than the costs, but what France is doing is pointing out the costs.
