  • What search engines do you use?

I use pretty much just Google these days. I think I have used Yahoo! once in the last six months. What about you?

What about specialised search engines, such as for medical or psychological info.

      Google. And that is it.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

        More occasionally:
The search engine that helps you find exactly what you're looking for. Find the most relevant information, video, images, and answers from all across the Web.

Yahoo is Google. Try both and you'll find the returns are exactly the same. Yahoo gets their search results from Google.

altavista for 99% of my searches...
yahoo for the other 1% (= When I need to find something in DK)
This space is empty... or is it?

              Google.

Occasionally AltaVista's Babel engine. Although its so poor I'm better off thumbing my dictionaries.

Google mostly, and then some AllTheWeb and a bit less Teoma.

If I'm looking for scientific papers, though, I invariably start with CiteSeer.

BC: Google also has a translator (click on the little "Language Tools" link), don't know how much good that is, though, probably not much better.

                  They are identical.

I use AltaVista merely because I used that translator first, and so I have it in my favourites list.
