Mayo is much more more versatile.
It can go with Borscht, or soups. ( or however is it called in the US )
It can go with salads.
It can also serve as dressing for a general meal.
Mustard is much more limited in options.
Mustard and Mayo together? never tried it.Comment

depends. I wouldn't put mayonaise on a hot dog for example. and I wouldn't put mustard on battered fish..

Mayo goes well with so many different types of food. Mustard on the other hand is rather limited.I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).Comment

It depends on what I'm eating. If it's a burger or a hot dog, you gotta go with mustard (only in Canada... mayo.... ick). If it's some sort of ham sandwich with lettuce and tomato... then you go with mayo.
And I've heard that Euro's and Canadians use Mayo instead of ketchup on their fries. That's ****ing wrong man!To us, it is the BEAST.Comment
