U.N. security guards turned the man over to Iraqi authorities. The man may have been seeking asylum. Or he may have been an Iraqi agent demonstrating to other Iraqis the dangers of approaching the inspectors.

Yeah, I don't know if it's only leftist propaganda, but several papers have said in last few weeks that Israel also sent 'squads' in other countries including friendly countries to take some people out, including their citizens. I'm not going to say anything else about this news, because I don't know if it's true or not.

It was rumored that Sharon has authorized the Mossad to undertake covert assassination operations in friendly countries - a thing which was banned for about 20 years.

The PM's office has denied that vehemently.

Any writings about "squads being sent" is very much the author's imagination, as if any such squads would have been sent, the author would have no way of knowing that.

And I don't really know who started the rumor. For all I can tell, it could be the Pals, trying to do damage to our image.

In any case, when we did assassinate people, they were not political activists. They were murderors and terrorists.

Infact, from the foreign books I read about Mossad, I know that Mossad hit-squads always carried with them a portfolio of evidence against their target, which, in case they were caught, could have justified their act, post-factum.

Besides, we have a hippie for foreign minister.. he really was a hippie, and still is. And everytime he opens his mouth, we have to be ashamed, because he says what he thinks, not what the official opinion is. No, it only shows that they are working within their mandate and trying their best to remain impartial. Don't think for a moment that any UN personnel at that time felt good about what happened.

Siro, if I were an Iraqi freedom fighter, I would move quickly if I lived in an Axis of Weasel country. You can bet your bottom dollar that Weasel governments will soon join Saddam in suppressing the forces of freedom and democracy. After all, they know that by aiding Saddam against the US and the freedom fighters that he will give them favorable oil concessions.
