Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

If this is true then he doesn't have a clue about political systems and is being manipulated by the people around him who give him the information he bases his decisions on. They do have an agenda that isn't pure of heart.

      Or was that your point

Why is it that many bush supporters, when faced with a possible critisism or argument against bush, just spout off some lame speach like that and completely ignore everything that was said against him - It's like they're brainwashed, or trying to convince themselves he isn't so bad or something.

Since Diss threadjacked his own thread, I'd like to say that the best way not to spam is not posting things like jimmy did.
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

I think you hit the nail here. After all, nobody enjoys to admit a mistake, and some people hate doing so more than others (this doesn't depend on whether they're pro-bush or not )

It seems you can't be a republican/ right winger and accept that Bush might not be the best man for the job or just plain old wrong sometimes.

IIRC, we have several people here who say they'd vote McCain. And there are some Republicans who are curious and open to debate, like Ned.
I don't think it has anything to do with the party you're attached to, it has to do with your free spirit. After all, how many Democrats here defended Clinton when he broke his promises, promoted warmongering etc ?

No, its a clear cut legislative one, as prescribed by The Constitution. And with good reason.

This is what the Republicans said about the Democrats who supported Clinton.

Actually, I am not happy with Bush on his continued support for the corporate world, nor am I satified with his economic decisions. But I think he is playing it squarely, honestly according to his beliefs.

A leader is someone who decides what is best and goes and trys to do it. Whereas most politicians stick their thumb in the air and then decide the course of action.

Some people think a President, being elected by the people should administer the law by the will of the people. This is not my way of thinking.

A President should administer the law as he believes is best for the people. This almost certainly means that many times he will be acting contrary to the wishes of the people, else said President is not doing his job.

Going to the UN in the first place was a mistake, as far as I am concerned.

                        They are absolutely right.

I don't get why America acts the way it does, but as long as it doesn't involve me, or cause terrible suffering in the world, you can do as you like.

Do as you like, but leave us alone!

The only thing I'm concerned about is the US putting pressure on the UK about plans to make Weed a class 3 drug.

WTF has it got to with them. I didn't know they were doing this.

Bush is a little weasel, a puppet, and a sick self-righteous religious nut. ahhhh I feel better now

Anyways, he'll be out in 2004. It's the economy stupid!
