Give an example of the incitement to violence, because these aren't.
S.D.: There was the small part of the quote where he called for Jihad against the U.S.. Jihad is widely thought of as terrorist attacks against the "Crusaders and Zionists".

Jihad is holy war. What comprises holy war is subjective but usually when extremeist publications, like the one we are discussing, talk about holy war terrorism is very much what they are talking about.

And besides that, I'm not sure from the little information I've got that that's the word the "journalist" or the journalist used.

you're confusing the word widely with the context of the extremists.

That is not in your excerpt, and jihad also means struggle or resistance.

Well if you speak arabic you could go to al Hayat's web site and read the article for yourself. You might even beable to find an Arabic-English or an Arabic-Swedish translation site to do it for you.

Didn't Bush use the word "Crusade" at one point in reference to Iraq or Afghanistan or somewhere?

You know, first you make a point and then when some people are a bit sceptical about anything you say they should get a subscribtion or learn arabic instead of actually back up your words with some real information.

So, are you working for the paper trying to sell them or for the faculty of arabic at a university and need some more students?

That's the strange bit. One would think that the actual phrase calling for jihad would have been lurid enough to be quoted...

The paper can't be too bad, because after doing a quick search, I found that Tony Blair wrote a letter that was published in Al-Hayat.

                        Details can be found here:

Many of these "journalists" are attempting to incite their readers into commiting acts of terrorism and murder against westerners in general and Americans in proticular; Arab governments have done nothing to stop them.

The last time I went there, I saw how US soldiers were forcing arabs
to eat ****, shooting them for fun, torturing their genitalia, et cetera, et cetera.

Major Arabic news outlets seem to be hit-and-miss in terms of quality, BC. That being said I'm kind of curious why Oerdin didn't provide a direct link to the article he's refering to (I don't care enough to search for it.) and seems to be getting touchy now that people are questioning him on it.

DinoDoc: I tried to provide a direct link via U.S. News & World reports web site but they won't let you view the entire article unless you are a subscriber. I didn't know this until after I posted the message and Kropotkin found that he was unable to access the whole article.

Cut and paste it here then. It wouldn't be the first time someone has done something like that.
