  • Are you Ready for some Commercials - Super Bowl

Okay, we've seen the game... what was the best/funniest commercial during the game?

I thought the upside down clown was the best.

I'll never think of Hot Dogs the same way again.

Didn't get a chance to see any - saw it on AFN, so all we get are the public service announcements.

    Descriptions would be good.
But I kick that ball, and I pray it goes straight,
If it does, then Coach says, "Good job number eight."
He doesn't even no my name is Andre Kristacovitchlalinski, Jr.

Yeah, I didn't get to see a lot of them either- break time gabbing.

Though I can honestly say Hulk looks bad.

Of the ones I saw, the winner was the Bud Lite spot with the zebra doing instant replay while the Clydesdales waited to play football.

I heard the Ozzy/Osmonds Pepsi Twist was good but I missed it.

Overall, I thought this Super Bowl was an all-time LOW in quality of new ads.

Pepsi has the Osbournes, the Osmonds, and Florence Henderson in their commercial... have they lost their minds? People don't drink soft drinks because they want to be like Ozzy Osbourne or Donny Osmond... do they?

I agree, the commercials were uninspiring.

            My favorites,

            1. Zebra.

            2. HR block with Willie Nelson.

            3. Pepsi twist with Ozzie.

            4. The two sierra Mist commercials.

From the pregame show, the best were for show promos.

            1. Red or Black, you win either way (alias)

            2. Bud light ripoff adds for the practice.

Yes, and the hulk does look like it's going to suck

I loved the commercials with the zebra as the referee and the Sierra Mist ones. Otherwise... the commercials STUNK this year. Where was the Quizno's wit?

And I won't judge the Hulk yet... while he *looks* like a fat and talentless oaf, it's Ang Lee... this could still be something seriously cool and introspective.

              The look isn't everything.

The Trident 5th Dentist commercial was funny, so was the 'Yo... Yao' commerical.

But the best (after the zebra/jackass instant replay one) was the FedEx Castaway spoof . GPS locator, satellite phone... classic.

The Tim McGraw designated driver commerical was the best of the 4th Quarter.

But to hear y'all, you sound like a bunch of 'I walked 10 miles in the snow' fogeys! EVERY Superbowl had like 3 or 4 good commericals and the rest stinkers. Like this year was an aberation!

I hear you Imran... I don't understand it.

Am I the only one who thought this was a good superbowl? I wasn't cheering on either team I just wanted to watch the game. And I counted about 6 really good commericals.

I guess we are twins... I have to pretty much agree with the list... and I would put the FedX and Trident commercials right after the two Sierra Mist ones.

"The Practice" ads in the pregame show were the funniest of all of them... (and Rah... they were rip offs of the Miller Lite Commercials, not Bud Light)

fedex one was definitely one of the best

ozzy/osmonds was ok, but if anything it would make me not want to drink pepsi twist

hot dog with the clown, don't even remember what that was a commercial for haha

lots of skim too (or maybe that was just my imagination )

                      zebra one wasn't bad either

matrix ones were kinda cool too, 2 in one year, can't wait

not a lot of absolutely horrible commercials, most were very mediocre though

Whats the matter with the hulk? I thought it looked miles better than the TV show. Theres just no way a real human can play the hulk since no-one could be big enough.
We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

Oh, and since this thread is about the entertainment about the SB, I thought I'd put this here:

The Dixie Chick's version of the anthem was RIGHT THERE with Whitney Houston's version in 1991. At worst it was 2nd. Great performance by the Chicks!
