      Who the hell cares?

Don't drive a car, prison labour makes your license plates.

That will make the prison population at least somewhat productive, although the quality of Dell products could suffer.

Who cares? That money goes either to philippino kids or prison inmates
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

Prison labor puts people who didn't committ crimes out of work. Don't punish the innocent!

It's one thing to have inmates performing labour for the state, it's another thing altogether for them to do work for a multi-million dollar corporation for absolutely nothing. They have the money, they can afford to pay someone to their dirty work.

PS Why should the taxpayer subsidize Dell's profit margin?

Exactly which part of the article specifies that Dell is doing nothing to pay for this, and taxpayers are?

You seem to think it's slave labour...Dell pays them to work, you know.

Do you even know how this works, or are you making all this up for the sake of a troll? Tell me what part of the article says they're working "for absolutely nothing"?

And I'm sure they get a fair wage for their efforts? Or do you think that minimum wage regulations apply to inmates? And it's close enough to slave labour in my view.

PS And I'm bringing this up because I feel it's wrong. I apologize for having a conscience.

I'm 99% sure prisoners aren't forced to work.

They're offered the job, they accept or reject it on their own will...although choice is admittedly quite slim on alternatives for them.

I'm not questioning why you brought it up, I'm questioning why you lied blatantly in the opening post. I'm all for freedom of speech, but idiots who lie to try to make a point hurt their cause more than help it, 'cause they can't be trusted...

Sorry - not the opening post, his followup post.

Excuse me? How exactly can I lie merely by pointing out an article? Or are you implying that I created that story in order to decieve you. It seems to me that you're the one being an idiot. Actually I have a more colourful expression in mind that I don't feel is appropriate to post.

Isn't that one of the three international nonos? No child labor, no slave labor and no prison labor? I know we got into a bit of a tiff with China for shipping us goods made by their prisoners.

Isn't it slave labor if we force them to make plates or pick up trash or bust rocks? Lots of sentences SAY "hard labor".

                              Are you stupid?
