    I disagree with the entire premise, not the label.

    I like how they keep presenting minor british advancements on huge discoveries as amazing breakthroughs, present trans-european ideas as distinctly british (standardised time, for instance, done in most of europe before britain) and occasionally outright lie, like when they called some guy named "Lister" (might have been "Rimmer", or possibly "Cat", not sure) the father of modern hygiene when everyone knows it was Ignaz Semmelweis.

        Possibly. Although I believe 19th-century sex was not very hygienic.

          "Not invented here" is a very common attitude around the world. Every nationality focuses on their nations (re)discovery. US congress even makes it its job to steal foreign inventions and give them to US 'patriots'.
          One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.
