Well, if by the Humans we could us you in two ways: 1) As a peace offering to the machine overlords "Please accept this gift as a gesture of goodwill..." or 2) We could at least us you as cooking or heating oil in our underground caverns as we rebuild a new offensive to destroy our mechanical enemies...The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.
The Weighted Companion Cube is cheating on you, that slut.

The only way machines could take over is if humans actually wanted them to. It will always be the case that a machine is only capable of acting or responding in a manner pre-programmed into it. There is no such thing as AI, just larger memory for "if this then that" stimulus response behavior."The French caused the war [Persian Gulf war, 1991]" - Ned

Contrary to popular belief, EMP weapons would only be effective against electronic components which rely on magnetic motors or components. An EM Pulse demagnetizes these components, they would not make all electronic circuits useless. Although, they would disrupt magnetic data storage devices. To us, it is the BEAST.

Why all the fear of "robo"s trying to take over the "orgo"s?
Judging by what history has shown us, it is most likely that robots probably dont even have to try wiping us off, since likelihood of us fightin each other with help of robots are far likely than united human confederation struggling to survive under evil artifical plot to rid the world of inferior human beings....:-p

Yes, we respond to stimuli in the environment. The difference is that a computer can only respond to what's programmed into it with what's programmed into it. There is no innate ability to learn and adapt, and if one is programmed in, it always has whatever limits the programmer puts on it."The French caused the war [Persian Gulf war, 1991]" - Ned

The loss of current would be temporary. The actual copper wiring in the electrical circuitry would still be capable of carrying current. Any electrical components that were turned off, and contained no magnetic components; would be unaffected by an EMP.To us, it is the BEAST.
