  • Don't Eat at the Olive Garden

I got a particularly nasty case of food poisoning over there a couple days ago. When I went to see a doctor about it, he said that he gets lots of cases of food poisoning from the Olive Garden.

I'm not sure if this is due to the lack of proper regulations across the entire chain or one(s?) in Austin in particular, but it probably isn't a great idea to go to that restaurant unless you have to.

Never had any problem with the Olive Garden restaurants near us.

A libertarian would say that Olive Garden will suffer enough thorugh its loss of market share.

A sensible person would wonder why the doctor has not reported his findings to the health department.

Yeah, it does. I had to go there because I got a gift certificate.

As for as Italian food chains go, the Macaroni Grill is much better.

I got food poisoning from them too when I was young IIRC. Sbarro's is a good Italian food chain, but for good Italian food its usually best to eat at a standalone restaurant

Yeah, the olive garden is no good. Doesn't the same company own and operate Red Lobster, too?

Don't go to KFC either. We had a case here where somebody asked for two extra biscuits at a KFC drive-thru window, and it turned out that "2 extra biscuits" was the codeword for the KFC employee's pot dealing. The customer got two bags of weed along with his chicken, and the employee was arrested.

Actually, nevermind, do go to KFC.

I've never had a problem with Olive Garden. Their seafood dishes are lightyears better than anything available around here. Anywhere else in this vicinity you get seafoood that's just too old, too overcooked or both. It's just plain mushy. Olivegarden seafood is fresh and has just the right crispness and texture.

Well this is the shortest post I've ever seen by one though.
