This sort of runs counter to the facts, since several people I know are being prescribed Marinol as an anti-depressant.

MDMA's a load of **** anyway, it blocks both sweating and thermostatic control, as well as (possibly) causing damage to the raphe bodies, seratonin pathways and so on, in long term users.

Thats just a reason not to take it more than once a week though Its fun while it lasts.

buying drugs instead of paying off the mortgage... getting jordans and jerseys instead of buying food... people need to get their priorities straight first and stop ****ing and smoking...
Ok, you've realised what the problem is. People are the problem. Not drugs, or anything else. You are fighting a symptom.

Nah high boys have asked me if i had any acid on me before... a lot of people do whatever drugs they can get their hands on.
Thats funny, its really rare and costs a fortune even in the UK's equiv of the Projects. I guess because its very hard to make.

It sort of a niche drug now, which is a real shame since it doesn't do any damage.

Edit: Also, Graags wrong about depression being existentialist angst. Its an illness clearly enough, with physiological symptoms. The psychological feelings of worthlessness are an added extra.

I'm one of the few people on this site who is actually real... all I know is philly... I've never done any drugs but you know god damn well I've had first-hand experiences with what drugs do to people
              I'm pretty real
I spent a year living in Kings Cross in Sydney surrouded by Smack, Crack, Booze addicts, thats pretty real. If you stopped the supply of all drugs, everyone who uses drugs would drink themselves to death. Simple.

LSD has no side effects. I love it, its a pity its so unpopular.
Hmm, ****s with my head too much... bad trip, long story.

Drugs are illegal right now. How do u propose keeping it off the streets?

Thats just like, your opinion, man.
This is another cause of mixing up cause and effect. The physiological symptoms are a symptom of the mental ailment.

Fair enough, different strokes and all. You can get a variation of it called orange bliss which gives a much mellower high. In fact it is probably the stuff your parents took in the summer of '67

You're right about the drinking thing though, substance abuse is more a symptom of despair than anything else. Of course addictive nasties like smack and cigarettes really drag you down, adding to woes.

                      Speer you're an idiot

I'm real because I only know the streets...

Che says it best - you don't know **** about the suburbs. And do you know why? Becuase you live in a bubble - the city - and you look to strict militant morality and religion to solve the problems of the skeletons in your closet. Funny that a guy from the streets doesn't even have street smarts.

Then how come the physiological symptoms are common the world over, while the psychological worthlessness commonly only happens in the West?

Care to elaborate? What is depression without the worthlessness?

                              Evil:

Weed and crack are the most common drugs and i actually was kind of surprised when the boy randomly asked me that. I actually was about to bust out laughing but nah... i'm sure people manage to get their hands on it. it's probably cheaper in an American city than in the UK.

but anyway, still... that's my point... people waste their money on drugs when they could spend it on more practical things.

                              Australia...

                              Lawrence:

We need to also have a society where drug use is abhored... the fact is that legalizing drugs makes it appear as if society is accepting drug use... keeping drugs illegal is not enough to stop drug use, but legalizing them DEFINENTLY is a step back

                              thanks

                                Australia...
Ah, yes. Since australia is well known as a nonsense state where the normal rules or existence and reason are suspended, everything I've said is wrong. Well refuted.
                                Oh, and the other arguements?
