  • Where would you least want to live?

Here are some times and places from 20th century that were, by all accounts, pretty crappy times to live. However, let's assume that you are, well, you, with the age, sex, nationality, religion, political views, level of education and relative level of wealth you have now. Where would you least want to live for a five-year period?

That's a tough one.. If I had to choose one, I'd go with Rwanda..

Does this mean where would I want to live, or NOT want to live? If it's the NOT one, then Rwanda, since white boy like me would have tough time to survive anyway in those horror days, but if it's where I could live, it'd be Germany, since I'd propably survive..

It's the NOT want. The word 'least', you know?

                  I voted for Rwanda.

But actually, the only country that I have ever promised myself that I would never live in, is the USA - ofcourse, I didn't give much thought to living in these sorts of war-torn countries.

                    Oh, and, where's Sierra Leone?

Figure it'd be an obvious choice, being ranked the worst place to live in by the U.N.

I went with Cambodia, BTW. Pol Pot's magical wonderland was something else, from what I've read.

Cambodia, was a pretty easy choice after all as i would have the same education etc as in reality. I've got glasses (well OK, contact lenses but I wouldn't have those in the 70s) and that was a reason enough to be killed.

The percentage of killed in Cambodia 74-79 should be higher compared to the other alternatives according to my 'guesstimates'.

Russia 1917-1922 wasn´t all that bad. But the rest of them are equally bad IMO.
