Just started using Trillian today. I miss the popup names of MSN and the popup messages of ICQ, but this is more efficient than having three different programs.

Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

I desperately wish Trillian was open source, there are a few things I would really like to recode, but other than that, it's great. Certainly better than having 4 different programs run.
And it's not overloaded with functions either, like all those messengers are.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

I used to use ICQ to set up clan matches in Mechwarrior 4, but now I have to use MSN for that. I have to use AIM because all my school buddies don't realize that it sux, and i set up a yahoo account just for the heck of it. Oh how cumbersome it is to use four different chat programs!
The answer is to use trillian

i just use irc. i used to use icq ages ago(my number was like 2 million!) but irc is really the way to go for someone who is a hardcore quaker like me. plus i love getting mp3s, and other things on irc.i used to use aim when i was in high school because all my friends did, plus aim is just so much fun for hijinks(ala something awful) especially when you know them in real life.

Trillian running AIM and ICQ (I prefer the former, but more people use the latter), and Yahoo! where I've got broadband although only for extravagance, I've never used it.Världsstad - Dom lokala genrenas vän

Yup... I only have 1 contact on my Yahoo list, and that one is a pretty recent one, and not as important as many of my other contacts.
I just wonder who are people that use YIM as their ONLY service.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

I have AOL, ICQ, and Y! with Trillian. I don't have too many contacts on this computer though. My ICQ list on my old p150 (the one I worked on SidGames with) has over 1000 contacts though. This includes people like Brian Reynolds."Yay Apoc!!!!!!!" - bipolarbear

"In Apoc, I had one soldier who lasted through the entire game... was pretty cool. I like apoc for that reason, the soldiers are a bit more 'personal'." - General Ludd

I use ICQ, MSN and AIM via Trillian...In Trillian I don't get pestered by the same number of popups as using ICQ's own client. I would never use that again due to the sheer volume of harrassment...Speaking of Erith:

Problem: Trillian complains about a page fault in BUDDY.DLL when I try to load it. How do I fix??Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. I don't use one any more. About a year ago I used ICQ but I deleted it. Maybe I should delete my old ICQ number which is posted here at poly? Nah...Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.
