Apoc, hey thats better than nothing. Says something interesting about the role of visual symbols in the human mind too, but thats not important right now.

Tassadar, I'll have you know I am a close personal friend of Ming's. Or at least he'll remember me from the odd Civ2 game. Either way.
I have discovered that China and Spain are really one and the same country, and it's only ignorance that leads people to believe they are two seperate nations. If you don't belive me try writing 'Spain' and you'll end up writing 'China'."

Actually I think avatars are detrimental to forum memory. I don't associate catch phrases or certain personality traits since avatars caught on.

With certain people who disregard avatars, like Jon Miller, I remember his catch phrase (Jon Miller) very easily. I can remember personalities of old people like The Director General and Thomas A Stobie fairly well since I had no avatar to base anything on.

Anyway, did you call me Apoc because you remember other people calling me that or was it just something that made sense?

Yet more interesting are your musings on the role of the visual symbol in memory. I suppose people's avatars change often, unlike a name which is a visual symbol but is fixed and static. I imagine you don't remember be because I never posted that much on off-topic. And have been generally random in my postings for the past couple of years.

Anyway, in answer to your query, um.. both. Now that I think about it, you seem familiar, but I think it just made sense at the time. Apoc -> Apocalypse... seems natural.

I'm not that much of an off-topic person. Up until a year ago I had been lurking in various forums though, even in the Civ2 ones.

Apoc, I've been largely inactive the past year or two, so you are forgiven your ignorance of my good self.

H Tower, thanks for the input. Always good to know someone doesn't know you.

Actually I remember Graag. I think the last time I saw you was in the OTF. At least I remember your funky monkey avatar.

                      Anyway, merry Christmas to you.

You came back- now **** off
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.
