  • US rejects Iraqi offer to admit CIA agents

I couldn't help not to post this

The US today dismissed as "a stunt" an Iraqi offer to admit CIA agents to help arms inspections, as scores of UN arms experts swooped on at least three sites near Baghdad.
Iraqi officials said a biological weapons team from the UN monitoring, verification and inspection commission (Unmovic) spent two hours at what the officials described as a closed baby milk plant in Abu Ghreib, 16 miles west of Baghdad.

    ------
As the US rebuffed Iraq's latest offer, Baghdad unleashed a fresh wave of invective against the Bush administration. An Iraqi government newspaper said the US president, George Bush, was using lies to justify a war against Iraq.

"The administration of little Bush is launching a mad campaign based on lies and accusations in order to divert public attention from reality and find excuses for an aggression against Iraq," the ruling Baath party newspaper al-Thawra said in a front page editorial.

Could it be that Saddam is telling the truth

Originally Saddam offered USA to let CIA inspect the country to find WOMD's http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story...864782,00.html

Baghdad fought back in the highly charged propaganda battle with the US and Britain yesterday by inviting its arch-enemy, the CIA, to enter Iraq and track down the country's elusive weapons of mass destruction.

It seems that Iraq does not pretend that they do not have any WOMD's or be so certain in themselves and be sure that even CIA can't find it, which I doubt.

Still how can US reject such a generous offer from Iraq. Send in the agents if the "axis of evil" invites you to.

no no. Russia is cool. We could split the oil with them... say 70/30 (it's the US doing all the work). Screw everyone else.

Well that's a fair deal but the Brits earned something at least.. unless UK is anyway a US colony like Israel so that implies that we will get some oil too.

hmmm... well... it really is the US doing all the work. I say 70/30 for Russia only because they still are somewhat of a world power. hmm... ok ok (haha) I was just being nice. NO oil for russia! Screw them too.

I do enjoy seeing Sadam running around trying anything and everything to stop a US attack. What's with the 'I'm sorry' to Kuwait??? That was almost hard to watch... even for Saddam.

The MWHC call on Persian Gulf war II. It's over in 4 hours. Let it be lesson to the rest of the world. China should be watching. I still say the US could take China in 12 hours (that's while we're taking Iraq).

That's why the US looks silly to the rest of the world right now. Dubya and company wants to attack Iraq, but also wants to look justified.

we're just doing this dance so the next time China or Russia want to pound on someone they will also have to go through the process. probably a good thing. so i dont think it's silly.

By giving deals to other Security Council members, the US will get what they want.

I think a better way if saying it is - by buying other Security Council members the US gets its way.

Oh BTW - you're just upset Ming because of all the thashings you've taken in the past from Savage!!

Can you really say that?? Maybe i've missed something but i dont think i've seen anyone point anywhere and say that's where they are hiding something they should not have. perhaps the inspectors have already detected/found something that's banned but that has yet to be reported. I think maybe Saddam really does not have anything that's banned but so what now. blow him up!
