I'm going tonight at midnight. I'm not sure how much good I'll be tomorrow at work.

      No worse than usual.

I'm going to bake a batch special brownies tomorrow, and watch it with some friends that evening.

        Oh, this will be good.
        John Brown did nothing wrong.

Of the three books I always felt the Two Towers had the potential to make an incredible movie. Looking forward to it.

            Specail brownies.

Anyone read The Belgariad, by David Eddings?
It would make an excellent movie.

I agree. I imagine the pacing of this movie will be a bit quicker than the first. Things start to pick up quite IIRC from reading books.

*sniff* Gee. I don't know. I think I feel a nasty cold coming on. Just might have to take a sick day.

I'm wondering how they're going to fit everything into "The Return of the King". With Shelob's lair having been moved to that movie, there's a hell of a lot of material to cover...

A big chunk of Return of the King is appendices, and a lot of the stuff that's in the books is filler too. Do we really need 8 or 9 chapters of stuff between Mt. Doom and the end?

I have booked the ticket and will be seeing it on Saturday night in Manchester (where I will be anyway socialising ). I am looking forward to it. I suppose I could go and see FOTR again as I don't have much planned for this weeks evenings...

He's one of my favourite authors.

It would make a good trilogy, with some editing to cut it down from 5 books. Chances of it happening are VERY remote, of course, if it ever happens at all it will probably be animated (surely cheaper than live-action).

                            They are.

The director mentions it during the commentary of the Galadriel's Mirror scene in FOTR.

Damn it! The Scouring of the Shire is an important part of the story!

Are they just going to end it at Arwen and Aragorn's wedding? Or are they even going to show that?

I liked the first one. Althought it was a bit slow in places. But it was too loud. I suppose I'm getting too old as the saying goes. But even the DVD I borrowed from my brother is also too loud. Why did he mix the sound so badly? I have to turn it up high enough to hear the dialogue, but if an explosion happens, I go deaf. And why are there so many explosions when they lack gunpowder?

But either way I will be seeing the moive in the next week or two.
