And Grey is a walking disaster area. The man has less personality than Gore!!
Rendell might be a good Dem Gov for PA... but he just got elected.

Agreed on both counts. Rendell would be a very strong candidate in 2008: governor of a battleground state, business background, and he helped turn around a seemingly hopeless Philly when he was mayor. Exactly what the Dems need.

How old is he? And does he want to put himself through what it takes to be President (basically the media mucking about in your life)? That weeds out a lot of people. The only reason Powell isn't President right now is because his wife didn't want the media pulling and prying apart their personal life.

He's about the same age as Bush; he'd be 64 in 2008. Don't know what his tolerance for media pressure is, but he handled himself well with the media and the host of special interest groups in Philly; he seems unafraid of a fight.

Now the question is do the Dems want him, and will he want to retire from politics in 2008?
Then again, 6 years is a LIFETIME in politics... who knows who the star will be then.
Rendell would be going up against Edwards (at the least) and probably Bayh.

There is the newly-elected Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm. Attractive, smart as a whip, rose to power like a rocket. Would probably have wide national appeal, both to independants and to Republican women.
Of course, the problem is that she was born in Canada, and thus ineligible. What an idiotic law...

Clinton could run again. It's 2 terms in a row, not 2 terms total.
He won't run. Why would he want to ?

According to the poll, most people think that this John Kerry fellow is going to be the Democratic nominee. Quick search reveals us his picture.
I don't trust that face. In fact, his whole head looks ridiculous. (It's too big and long, for starters, and that chin is all wrong-looking.) I think it's of utmost importance he's not allowed to get the Democratic nomination and certainly not presidency, because it would mean 1-8 years of his picture annoying me on newspapers and TV and Internet and whatnots. We already have the man-monkey who isn't loved by camera, we don't need this.

S. presidency

After serving in Vietnam, he came home and turn in to Vietnam protester and I thing the Rep. will tried to use that against him.
G. Davis, If he ran the Rep. might try to link him to his old boss, Pat Brown Jr. who lost to Clinton. However they would use his enery position here in Calif. against him for sure.
We need a Kick@ss Midwestern Humphery or Mondale style person as president. My prediction is that Bush gets assasinated by terrorists in '03 and then Cheney gets into a big scandal involving the oil companies. Senator Kerry then wins in a landslide and the House and Senate are retaken by the Democrats.
