The British National Party aren't really a right-wing party at all. They're protectionist, unilateralist and believe in strong state intervention in economic matters. They're more extreme authoritarian left if anything. Mike is right that they're certainly violent racist fascist thugs though.
He's wrong about the Liberal Democrats though. Many of the key players in the Liberal Democrats are solidly centre-right liberals that would almost certainly be in a popular centre-right liberal Conservative Party. Look at the rising stars, people like Mark Oaten (Winchester) and Ed Davey (Kingston & Surbiton)... not to the left of even New Labour, not by any stretch of the imagination.
