Have any of you listened to the music on that link. The theme fromTwin Peaks. My god I really like that series. Go David Lynch.

My favorite design was the giant cross, with the big-assed Mecha-Jesus on top that would swat incoming planes away. Tis a damned shame no-one took it seriously.

Okay, enough ranting. I haven't seen it, but skyscrappers are always butt ugly. You can't make skyscrappers look good. Not even the great architects such as I.M. Pei.

I think that the Petronas Towers are rather beautiful...

The design idea presented on this thread is crap, however. I want to see the world's tallest building on the WTC site, but I don't want it to look like that.

We need to work a Star of David into the design as well.

Perhaps the building could be in the shape of upward-extending arm ending in a clenched fist of defiance, and a finger, you know the one, that makes New York's meaning clear.

Well, maybe Mecha-Jesus could hold the Star of David in the hand he uses to swat the planes?

Or maybe he can use a Star of David as a shield while hitting the planes?

Oh? I think the Chrysler Building is one of the most beautiful buildings I ever saw. And the Empire State is not all that bad too.

Skyscrappers are problematic since there is no real way to fight fires that break out above thirty stories or so. With all the lifts out of order and probably no electricty, how do you get water to that level? Flying a few helicopters won't do anything.

Skyscrappers are so 20th century. It should be time to rethink the whole idea.

I just re-read an article about, what plans there have been for Ground Zero...and that one beats them all...in ugliness and boringness...

The pictures in that article were much greater...

Btw...the article was from a science magazine (I believe that's the word...)

And here's another one...(there's more, but these two are the best...I think...)

The article also says something about, there's planned to be gardens or something like that, in the small holes, for the picture below...
