Okay, enough ranting. I haven't seen it, but skyscrappers are always butt ugly. You can't make skyscrappers look good. Not even the great architects such as I.M. Pei.
I think that the Petronas Towers are rather beautiful...
The design idea presented on this thread is crap, however. I want to see the world's tallest building on the WTC site, but I don't want it to look like that.
My favorite design was the giant cross, with the big-assed Mecha-Jesus on top that would swat incoming planes away.
We need to work a Star of David into the design as well.KH FOR OWNER!
ASHER FOR CEO!!
GUYNEMER FOR OT MOD!!!

Perhaps the building could be in the shape of upward-extending arm ending in a clenched fist of defiance, and a finger, you know the one, that makes New York's meaning clear.http://tools.wikimedia.de/~gmaxwell/jorbis/JOrbisPlayer.php?path=John+Williams+The+Imperial+M arch+from+The+Empire+Strikes+Back.ogg&wiki=en

Oh? I think the Chrysler Building is one of the most beautiful buildings I ever saw. And the Empire State is not all that bad too.Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
Once again...

Skyscrappers are problematic since there is no real way to fight fires that break out above thirty stories or so. With all the lifts out of order and probably no electricty, how do you get water to that level? Flying a few helicopters won't do anything.
Skyscrappers are so 20th century. It should be time to rethink the whole idea.(\__/) 07/07/1937 - Never forget
