I would guess that i am all those european ones, as they are not distinct anymore. half of the scots are english, half of the english are German. I have yet to have someone be able to tell the difference between an Italian and a Spaniard.

My mum and Dad were born in England- where their ancestors come from well my paternal grandfather was adopted his wife was Jewish- my maternal grnamother was born in detroit from cornish parents and my paternal granfather was born in essex although he had a welsh surname.

        Celtic is winning whoo hoo

maybe it's a coincidence, but when speaking with canadians and especially australians, I get the impression that everyone is of Irish descent, even though more immigrants came from England.
Is it "cooler" or more PC to claim Irish descent rather than English, because the Irish were kind of oppressed while the English were evil colonizers?

British Isles cocktail: about 25% English, 25% Welsh, 25% Scots, 25% Irish.

Plus the usual American mingling: a little German, a little Cherokee, a little Jewish, etc.

having one great grandparent from limerick doesn't make you Irish

                    Gangerolf,

there's no such racial group that would be called "Finno-Ugric." There's only Finno-Ugric languages.

                    Anyway...

                    I picked Scandinavian and "Finno-Ugric" as that's 50% and 50% for me.

There is such a thing as fino-ugric-turkish.

They all come from there. Turks, Finns and Hungarians.
                          Hence the language.

"English" are mostly Gauls by now....
