If the US had a reason to believe these weapons might be used against her...

and the Arab countries invaded in an attempt to stop Israel from joining the nuclear club?

Well, not an invasion. But an air strike a-la operation Opera, or any other form of sabotage.
Basically they, and the US in the case of Iran and NK should('ve) try to use minimum force to achieve success.

Let them have them. Let the North Korean people "eat cake".
Way to have the old priorities right.

Every nation has a right to nuclear weapons. Attacking Korea or Iraq because they hold or own a particular weapon is unjustifiable. The notion that someone may attack us in the future, therfore we can attack them now is detestable.

As long as the US and Israel have nukes and continue to threaten to use them (as the US and Israel have against Iraq) nuclear proliferation will continue, and will be the rational choice for these countries.

NK has the right to nukes...if they can defend it.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

NK obviously has no rights to nukes, if they sign a treaty saying they won't develop/build them....

                    Amazing revelation: Communists lie.

Whether they have the "right" doesn't mean a whole lot. They have them, and there isn't anything anyone can do about it.

You can not trade with them, but another amazing revelation: Dictators let their people starve, in order to maintain their military power.

We aren't the only people who lie, you know.

Actually, we don't know whether the DPRK has nukes. They only say they have them. Where were the test detonations? So much can go wrong with a bomb that until you blow one up, you don't know if it will work.

Where would they test? They don't exactly have a whole lot of room.

The ocean? The border? Use slave labor and dig a big tunnel somewhere? Israel's even smaller, and they detonated tests.

First of all, the NK has already clarriefied said statement:

NK radio said that North Korea had the Right to Nuclear weapons, not that it had nuclear weapons. IN korean these two things sound evry similar and the fact is what while most western news outlest that traslated the statement did so as the NK now says it was meant, the notion that they had them was spread by a conservative minded SK radio station.

NK signed an agreement in 1992 with South Korea, saying that it would not develop nukes (the 1994 agreement with the US was over plutionium. If NK is in violation of the 1994 agreemnt it is because the '94 agreement makes mention of the '92, and since NK is in violation of the '92 agreement, then it would also be violating the '94. BUt it ahs not borkane any of the pledges dealing with plutionum, yet) and NK is also a signatory of the NPT. So legally, NK does not have a right to have nuclear weapons, only the firt 5 state to get them (surpise, also the 5 permanent veto powers in the UN) do, as long as they make available to other state the peaceful use of nuclear power and move towards eventual disarmament by themselves.
