If we converted to Islam, then Christian Right terrorists would simply start bombing things other than schools, clinics and judges.
A ideology that tells you you have not only the right but the moral duty to impose your shibboleths on others is fine -- but in a world in which we have more than one of them then placating *any* of them is suicidal.
