  • If US is willing to assume direct control after crushing Saddam, Iraqi people would be much better off afterwards. Just name a country whose economic situation and living standard are worse off after the US took over.

The biggest risk lies in US stalling in their offensives, turning the whole war into yearlong attritions.

    • Again paiktis22... you ignorance of US politics is amazing.

      Rule one... Get in Office...
      Rule two... Stay in Office...
Rule three... Repeat as often as needed

It is purely politics. The Americans still want revenge, and Bush is giving it to them. Right or wrong, the majority of people think this is a good thing. The Dems tried to fight him on this, and look what it got them... a back seat for the next two years.

If there is some cash to be made, well, that's a bonus. Buy again, the "assesements" are only opinions, and may not happen. The driving force behind this is politics, not economics. And your posts aren't going to change that.

But keep trolling... that's what we have come to expect from you

politics are the same everywhere and i dont underestimate the politics factor.

however the economics factor is also potent.

and i believce as potent as bush staying in office.

you can be free to disagree.

but you are wrong. economics define poltiics in many levesl;.

but by now we disagree on minor levels so its ok

dont say its rtolling if you canty think of anything else.

Thanks for the victory. Your original statements was that this was ALL about oil. (Which you posted MANY times)

Now, after many posts on my part and others, you admit that it is ALSO about Bush staying in office.

It's so nice when Apolyton can be used to change people's misguided opinions. Glad to help you on this one paiktis22

Your original statements were that it was "ALL" about oil. But unfortunately, you fell into the trap by admitting that it is probably equally both when you posted the following.

however the economics factor is also potent.

You admit there are multiple factors, factors which very well may be equal in importance... not just a SINGLE factor as your original posts indicated.

So again, another classic example of Apolyton changing somebodies opinions. Glad to help you on this one

So it is also about Bush satying in office.

We just dont care much about this.

whoever rules america is the same.

what will happen out of a war agansit iraq is cheap oil for US.

the fact(?) that bush will stay in the throne of he attacks iraq only weighjts against american's common sense and the "link" between economic (company) and poilitical power in teh US may I say?

the end result is the same.

war on iraq for oil (and concequitly bush staying in power).

sure i accept this. never said anything different

This from the guy who posted how Americans are all stupid for putting that idiot Bush in office...

And how Bush will lead the world to war...

But you don't care less about this...

what is matters is what the US DOES not who's ruling it.

permit us to have our reservations when a guy like bush is ruling it and being proiven correct?

                          • AFAIU, the agitation (in general) about Iraq is primarily about oil and geopolitics.
The incoming war (this particular method) in Iraq is about giving Bush a boost for next elections
