Ah wel, I'm just another silly european (please don't start another gun debate, this was not my intention)Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

if it were an American being held in Canada, Bush would be asking Congress for a declaration of war."Chegitz, still angry about the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991?

I went to law school in Victoria, B.C. and a lot of my friends took summer jobs as customs agents after first year. Removing arsenals from Americans was a regular event for them. American toursits would come up on their boats to cruise through the Gulf Islands. Their first stop was often in Victoria for gas, provisions and as many cuban cigars as they thought they could smoke or smuggle back into the States. When they stopped, they were subject to customs inspection and my friends would have the lovely job of convincing them to give up their weapons before sailing on. Apparently, one guy had 6 hand guns and two assault rifles with him.
Long story short, if they surrendered the weapons they were allowed to sail on their way. No jail time. What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?

That's his problem. What's he doing living so close to the border and NOT speaking English?"Nobody in the jail speaks French," Haddow said.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara
For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio
