Eli, I have DSL, which is $40 a month. I'd cancel it, but that would save me only $20 a month (I'd still have to have some ISP) and it would mean I'd miss phone calls while looking for work (not that I get them all that frequently). It's not like I'm not surfing jobs sites while I'm posting here. We were about to buy a car when we got the news that 1) my contract was shorter than expected, and 2) it might not be renewed. For me, I have to be really careful. Richelieu, basically I have a range where it would be detrimental for me to work. If I work a little bit, I'm okay, but just a little more than that and it is counter-productive from the POV of paying bills.
