We don't have a fall break.

And you're not surfing Apolyton while at school?
        For shame.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

The only time I'm at the computers while at school is when I'm doing homework, and when I'm doing homework I want to get it done ASAP and get the hell out of there, not dink around trying to surf apolyton in Solaris + Mozilla (ugh!)

Microshaft and its winblowze sucks... ahhh Windows XP, buy one, activate it for one computer... if you need to reformat, or if you buy another computer, you must buy another copy... What a shaft and a half... I'm glad I hacked it
To us, it is the BEAST.

Sava, do you mind keeping your ignorance to yourself?

Not only are you not helping anyone, you're making yourself look like an idiot in the process.

You don't need to buy another copy if you reformat. Amazingly enough, 1 XP license is good for 1 XP computer. You can purchase additional XP licenses if you want to install on additional computers -- you do not need to buy another full copy (it saves you money just to buy another license).

And "Microshaft" and its "winblowze"? What are you, 3? Those aren't even creative OR funny, they're just lame.

BTW, do you understand that "Microshaft" is a very very small shaft? Why is that a good insult for MS, then? Are you good at ANYTHING, Sava? You can't even insult MS properly.

Fact is Eudora kicks the *!#$ out of Outlook as an e-mail client.

Outlook isn't just an e-mail client, baby.

And quite frankly, Eudora isn't any better as an email client either. It's more of the same. It's just that Outlook has a lot more to it.

That's why Outlook is crap - trying to do a whole bunch of things at once, but not doing any one particular task well.

I disagree, I think it does everything perfectly well.

What doesn't it do for e-mail, for example?

I've got my outlook set up right now so it checks my POP3 shaw.ca account, my hotmail account, and my school IMAP account and maps them all to the same inbox. I've also got a calendar marked out and reminders set for all of my school stuff and misc. reminders, and a todo list. I've also got filters set up so I rarely ever see junkmail (in fact, it bounces any suspected junkmail), and certain people I've flagged as being classmates/TAs have their mails sent to a special schoolwork folder. Give me a call when Eudora can do all of that.

It's one of the reasons I always reboot back into Windows actually. Evolution in Linux isn't nearly as good.

UR and Asher both here. Think I'll grab a beer and just sit back and watch the show.

                        Carry on, by all means.

Beats the hell out of those paper organizers. Especially with the reminder features, as I forget everything...

What doesn't do for e-mail? Okay, for starters, how sophisticated are the filter rules? How do you set up groups of people to set e-mail to? How well does it manage the address book? Can you set it up so that it does not run any Java, Javascript, and other assorted junk? Can you set it up in such a way that attachments are not displayed automatically?

If I want a *cough* team corroborative*cough* software, I rather go with Lotus Notes.
