This whole thread wreaks of ethnocentric chauvinism.
To us, it is the BEAST.

Why? They were centers of culture in the past, but not of modern culture.

New York is the cultural leader in the current age. It is where the most forms of cultural achievement either begin or achieve their apex. It is the golden goose of culture, the Babylon of our times.

I see that starting to fade, but it is still the pre-eminent cultural center.

          Athens anyone?
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

I voted for NY, and would regardless if Berlin was there or not (though it should be).

                And who is a fanatic?

Yup, how come there's not even a single german city in the list?

Not really. He just bores me to tears sometimes. Maybe you'll have more fun with him.

Actually listing Chicago twice is a GREAT way to undermine its chances for success! He split the vote!
I'm really really really hoping that instead of the second chucago you really meant to put Boston because we CERTAINLY have more culture than chicago and atlanta COMBINED!

LA, because Long Beach was the home of Sublime, and culture died with Brad.
                              John Brown did nothing wrong.

Berlin is a rather notable omission. Madrid, Lisbon, and Vienna are as well. You can't knock S and M's list too much though.
