  • WIERD HYPOTHETICAL: Your thrown back in time 600 years, what do you do?

Heres a wierd hypothetical I was thinking about, its a serious question though, so answer it as such.

Your about to go back in time to say the year 1400 AD, somewhere in europe(you can change the location if you want), you can only bring back with you the clothes on your back, and what you can easily carry in both hands.

What do you bring with you?

    What do you do?

Knowing this forum, its knowledge/opinions of politics history and science, I think the responses will be interesting to say the least.

Edit: I thought it was obvious but its not . What would you do/bring to allow yourself to rise to a position of power?

By the way just curious, who else here has thought about this before lol?

I'd take a submachine gun and plenty of ammo, then become . I'd join the cossacks and stay away from feudal states.

I was going to post that I'd catch a ride with Columbus and stake out some land in the States.

I guess I'll go with look for Joan of Arc.

I would take back as much Viagra as I could carry. It would be more valuable than gold and would promote love, not war.

I'd take some movies and a solar powered television (you msut be able to get one of those small ones solar powered...) and become a famous sooth sayer and magician. (or an infamous sorcerer and burned at the stake...)

I'd bring a laptop, and if it exists, a solar-powered charger. On the laptop would be every great piece of literature, including important science essays (relativity, quantom, and the like). Shakespeare didn't write R&J, I did

                  Well, I'll answer this seriously...

I would take two huge bags full of things to both hands. The following would be inside:
Machine-gun with much ammo (because people already used to change metal forms at a time, I think someone would make me more ammo if needed)
Gunpowder, some blueprints of cannons - would try to build ones
Geological maps of locations from current world
Some food and drink to use until I'll found a shelter
                  Many pictures from current days
A laptop and lots of batteries
Probably many blueprints of hydroplants - I doubt I would be able to build one, but with the help of people - probably.
Obviously many science books about creation/working of now "simple" things like pistol, lightbulb, etc.

I'd join Lithuanian Great Duchy with a hope of becoming a general and probably conquering many lands.

I was going to say as many technical manuals in engineering, mechanics and chemistry as I could carry, but thats a MUCH better idea

What I'd seriously do, though, is just go to peru/inca empire and not take much of anything, I'd just like to see the incan empire at it's height. (hrm.... but I wish I knew the language...)

I'd bring paper and a pencil, and write a breif history of the world from 1400-2000, and go down in history as a great prophet
