Nahhhh... he is now the "Poster Child" of greedy, lying, scum bag CEO's...

The justice system wants to send a message to other CEO's... If and When he is convicted, he won't be getting a light sentence. He will be nailed to the fullest extent that the law will allow. You can count on that!

Yeah, I know. I'm on the God Bless America bandwagon, and have been for always.
      This is still bull****.

Simple theft will almost always get a personal recognaisance (free) bond.
Robbery or burgalry (where the onus of the crime is not how much was stolen, but by what means) will draw a serious bond.

I tell you what. I'll change my mind.
I can handle the limping flag carrier part; now all I have to do is find a fife player and a drum player.
We can walk down Houston's main street and accompany this guy while he sings his rendition of Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me.

These coporate. securities fraud case are very complex and EXTREMELY difficult to prove, the evidence is bits and pieces scatttered to hell and gone (if not shredded, but the shredding is much easier to prove, hence the early prosecution of Arthur Andersen) and difficult to understand and put together. Intetions who knew what when are important to the case and are hard to prove. It typically take more than a year of investigation to put one together, and conviction are hard to come by without some one or the inside rolling to states evidence. They are always a dice roll if taken to trial.

Ming and jimmy are right. There is no reason to deny him to pay bail when he has not been proven guilty yet. I quite like innocent until proven guilty.

He isn't paying his damned bail, Imran.
                That's the point.

                  You've already assigned guilt.

Like I said "INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY"

And Ming already stated that he was rich before he came into the job. But, no, you've decided that you will make it guily until proven innocent.

Yeah, he was probaly wealthy due to other misdealings.
If you think for one minute he didn't know, you're both babes in the woods.
And I'll tell you what, Ming's no "babe in the woods".

                      You don't listen do you.

Ok, Der Furher, lets throw everyone in jail and consider them guilty before the trial starts where they have to prove their innocence.

No Western legal system in the entire world works that way. Sounds like you'd prefer to have the USSR back.

In my opinion, he is guilty... guilty... guilty... and is a low life scum bag who deserves to get nailed and be used as an example for all other CEO's. But again, just my opinion. In this country, the court system is the one to determine the facts... not my opinions or yours.

And to your first statement... PROVE IT! While I can see some validity to your statements of alledged misdealings in the Enron case, you offer up nothing to support your claim except for your biased point of view.

He was wealthy before because he has been a CEO at many other companies before this. He made money for the stock holders... the employees... and himself. He was praised by many as an excellent CEO. Who did he rip off before? What misdeeds if any can you find in the press... Happy Hunting

Imran, don't preach democracy and it's good points to me.

What I'm saying is, and yo can disagree because we're in America and you have that right, is that this lameass sonofa***** is paying his bail with money stolen from people ruined.

So, does Ming play the fife and Imran the snare drum?
                            Or the reverse?

Niether... we are both people that know the law. Evidently you are lacking in that department.

That is not more than a claim at the moment. If you apply such a sloppy standard to this, anyone can be denied bail by the simple claim of the prosecution "you stole it".

Might just as well scrap bail, then....
