Okay, so here's the question. If the genocide was committed in the waning days of the Ottoman Empire and in the begining of the Turkish Republic, why are people protesting art from the begining of the Ottoman Empire? Hell, it's not like the Greeks never engaged in genocide.

If you forcably turn Kurds into Turks, you are destroying a culture (though this is certainly perferably to simple extermination). From at least 1072 many greek, if you trace your ancestry back to Byzanine times and before, where living under Turkish rule- hmmm, 930 years is not a long time?

You are leaving a lot out paiktis- are you assuming all the resident of Anatolia where greek before the Turkish conquest? What about non-greek peoples livng there,perhaps even before the Greeks ever went to Anatolia? What about population transfers by the multiple empires that held those lands, like the Persian and Roman, even the Macedonian one? The fact is Paiktis that I serioult doubt anyone in the part of the world can prove they are not some sort of 'mutt' unless they can prove that their ancestors have not been living in the area for centuries.
