    Habit is stronger than nature.

since hiabit creates perceptions and since these perceptions are exploited AND all this creates a REAL result namely inflationatory pressures, the answer is to deal pragmatically with it.

Namely have 1 and 2 euros in notes.

pallid gays used to excel in pragmatistic solutions but now they're just dumb.

There is some deep-rooted mistrust against banknotes in Germany. This is a verse about the "assignates", the French revolutionary currency which was used to pull the valuable metal out of the pockets of the freshly conquered parts of Germany:

Von Lumpen ward ich einst gemacht,
von Lumpen an den Rhein gebracht,
        von Lumpen nährten Lumpen sich
und mancher ward ein Lump durch mich.

(sorry, it's half as funny in English. Lump = scoundrel, Lumpen = rag):

From rag I once was made,
By soundrels brought to the Rhine,
        Of rag scoundrels nourished themselves
and some became scoundrels by me.
Why doing it the easy way if it is possible to do it complicated?

The change is natural and would have happened anyway Euro or no Euro. The Swedish 10 kr coin was introduced in 1991, and is fully assimilated by now.

I don't remember of having had a colony . Ah yes , I know what you mean. I just returned from Crete (KPHTH for you), there in the summer months the Europeans exceed the Greeks by several times, probably you talk about that. But I didn't see any jerks among the Greeks there, they all were nice people. In what part of Greece do you live?

By the way, I understand your discomfort about € coins. That owl on the back is just plain ugly.

Don't tell that a Greek. Or at least the half of Greeks living in Athens. It is probably an exact copy of the owls on Athenian coins 2400 years ago. Three weeks ago I got my first owl .

Ssshhhhh, I know that . And the "owl", I mean Pallas Athene, has always been my favorite among the Greek deities. But for people like paiktis we Germans are just dumb Huns without any culture, so I do my best to feed this prejudice.

promethus, we got our "revenge" in WW2 and made you look like fools

and no Sir Ralph, i dont think germans are uncultured huns. well maybe i do, but so does TIME magazine. can you blame us? really.

still i have to say i have much respect and liking for the german romantics. in particular Herman Hesse, even if his last name in Greek, literally means "take a dump".

but i'm willing to overlook that.

The constant accusations of homosexuality lead me to think you are confused about your own sexuality.

Except for the US ones the colonies on the whole were allowed to determine their own future. I'm not sure your point is.
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.
